Bariatric Support Groups

We are pleased to offer bariatric support groups at USMD Hospital at Arlington. Bariatric pre- and post-operation patients, spouses, and families are all welcome to attend. Bariatric support groups are led by Cynthia O’Kelly, director of bariatrics at USMD Hospital at Arlington. These support groups include educational topics and speakers dedicated to helping individuals understand what to expect and how to be a successful bariatric patient. Spouses and family members are encouraged to attend, as USMD Hospital at Arlington believes weight loss is a family affair and family support is important for optimal treatment outcomes.

All support groups meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the USMD Hospital at Arlington Café, located at 801 W. Interstate 20, Arlington, TX 76017.

Bariatric Education Seminars

Bariatric seminars at our Arlington, TX hospital are designed to educate potential bariatric patients and their family members about the various weight-loss surgery options. All seminars are led by a board-certified bariatric surgeon. Seminars are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the USMD Hospital at Arlington Medical Office Building, located at 811 W. Interstate 20, Suite 130, Arlington, TX 76017.
