USMD Hospital at Arlington Welcomes Laurie Lewis as Chief Nursing Officer
Arlington, TX — March 10, 2026 — USMD Hospital at Arlington is pleased to announce the appointment of Laurie Lewis, DNP, MHA, RN, as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), effective March 10, 2026.
Laurie Lewis brings more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience across both acute and post-acute care settings. She previously served as Chief Nursing Officer for USMD Hospital at Arlington from 2015 to 2016, and the organization is proud to welcome her back in this key leadership role.
Throughout her career, Lewis has led numerous initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes, strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing nursing excellence. Her leadership philosophy centers on patient-centered care, clinical quality, and empowering nursing teams to thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Lewis earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Grand Canyon University and holds both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.
As Chief Nursing Officer, Lewis will oversee all nursing operations while advancing USMD Hospital at Arlington’s mission to provide world-class, physician-led health care through innovative technology and compassionate service, with a strong focus on exceeding patient expectations across Arlington and the greater Dallas–Fort Worth area.
